Shouldn't I be Feeling Optimistic?
Dec. 31st, 2007 09:00 pmI have a foreboding sense of doom. As though my sub-conscious is on the verge of putting together an unpleasant observation in my mind. It's not here yet, but it's coming.
I hope it's just baseless paranoia brought on by my usual seasonal bad mood.

Date: 2008-01-02 04:31 am (UTC)There are currently a few schools of thought about the required light properties for SAD light therapy: Using a specific wavelength, using full spectrum, including the proper UV for vitamin D production, and light intensity, or some so far undetermined combination of each. Of course, this neglects factoring in individual quirks. Which of these helps you the most?

Date: 2008-01-03 05:24 pm (UTC)I have used a SAD light for issues with difficulties sleeping. Your body chemistry will determine what time of day you should use the light.
I realize James has said he does not need the light and I won't contest that. But I figured I would post this in case someone else decides its a good idea for them.
Using the light at the wrong side of the spectrum could actually worsen someone's sleep issues.
