An Asshole is a Person in Your Neighborhood

Somebody needs a punch in the cock.

Spanky (nosarious' cat) went missing two nights ago. He found him on the City Pound's website. Today he gets to go down and pay whatever fines are required to get Spanky back.

The pound is supposed to let us know when this happens, assuming they can figure out who we are. Funny thing about that - between the last time we saw Spanky and when he was turned in, his collar and tags went missing (edit: apparently not - they just couldn't be seen in the picture on the website, and they hadn't gotten around to collecting the data to contact nosarious). Spanky is quite used to his collar and has never gotten out of it to my knowledge.

I doubt the city is going to let us know who turned him in. I have my suspicions though.

It takes a special kind of asshole to get off on trapping innocent animals.

True enough, the cat shouldn't be out (and I don't let him out), especially given his habit of lying down in the middle of road. Ger let him get in the habit of being outside again over the summer, when he could sit outside and watch him. I expect he's not going outside again until the spring.

Still, the city does suggest talking to your neighbors first, and asshole has never done that.

Sigh. I love cats, but this sort of shit is exactly why I don't own one.

Two problems with that:
1. Not everyone is comfortable with doing that, I didn't approach my neighbours about it partly because of this & partly because,
2. You don't always know who the cat belongs to. I know in your case that's not the problem but in my neighbourhood we have 5 or 6 I would regularly see out & about... only 2 of which I know the owners of.

My solution was simply to buy a cat scarer that sends out a sonic pulse when it detects movement. It solved the problem of cats & the jack rabbits... 2 birds with 1 stone! :)

This might be true of some people, but from observation, this is simply a guy who enjoys causing his neighbors grief in petty little passive-aggressive ways. I've heard tales from my more normal neighbors that, when confronted, he laughs about it.

I quite agree that the cat shouldn't be out, but the biggest danger to its welfare is this neighbor himself. I can easily believe he is capable of simply killing Spanky or releasing it far away. I suppose the fact that he's sending them to the pound is a positive.

I'd suggest the cat scare-er, except it's clear he enjoys the current state of affairs.
