Of all the things to go wrong on my cheap-ass cordless drill, I didn't think it would be the power supply to the battery charger. Drill works fine, can't juice up the battery though.

For $18 I can get a second drill. I have to wait until tomorrow though because XS Cargo is closed today. To bad really, as there's a chance I'll be up in the vicinity of their store tonight picking up [livejournal.com profile] devoidofthought at the airport.

Anyone have has a spare power supply that can produce 20VDC/400mA (+in/-out) that they can let me have? Also, given that all it needs to do is charge a battery, will 12VDC/300mA do the job?

Do not attempt to charge a cordless drill battery with anything but the charger supplied. DO NOT! I tell you this because you can damage the battery, especially if you use too low an input voltage. Too high is another story, one that ends in acid burns.
