An Urge to Drill Something

Of all the things to go wrong on my cheap-ass cordless drill, I didn't think it would be the power supply to the battery charger. Drill works fine, can't juice up the battery though.

For $18 I can get a second drill. I have to wait until tomorrow though because XS Cargo is closed today. To bad really, as there's a chance I'll be up in the vicinity of their store tonight picking up devoidofthought at the airport.

Anyone have has a spare power supply that can produce 20VDC/400mA (+in/-out) that they can let me have? Also, given that all it needs to do is charge a battery, will 12VDC/300mA do the job?

Because a cordless drill is something you just want to have on hand. It doesn't do me a lot of good at your apartment when I suddenly get the urge to assemble gorm at 11:30 pm (which is what I was doing last night when I needed the drill).

Thanks anyway - if you've got any specialty tools that I'll only ever need to use once in a blue moon, I might take you up on it.

Westjet. I get to Calgary at 8pm, but I'd told devil bunny 9pm is good, since when I was in TO, it took about 40 mins for me to get my luggage. And I wants a cancer stick. Oh so badly.

in the SE, on 52nd st, there's a battery world, or a battery doctor, whichever.. I believe they can fix your charger for you... they fix a whole pile of battery issues as that is their specialty...

Do not attempt to charge a cordless drill battery with anything but the charger supplied. DO NOT! I tell you this because you can damage the battery, especially if you use too low an input voltage. Too high is another story, one that ends in acid burns.
