I've observed you interacting with various people in the SCA at many different times.. You may think you're appearing nervous, or you may think you're appearing creepy to people, or whatever, but the truth is you're quite a popular person in the group. People wouldn't talk to you as much or as easily as they do if they thought you were creepy. I think you're doing fine and don't need to worry quite so much.
Now, if I could just figure out how to follow my own advice.. *sigh*
That's exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about. The only difference is that I've gotten to know you well enough to know that joke wouldnt be taken weird.
You want me to teach boys in the SCA how to be extra creepy? Well OK, I guess. I suppose if they need to learn it should be from someone who's good at it. But it is a little like shipping coal to Newcastle.
It's not so much what I did as who I am. It is only with a great effort that I stay within the confines of polite society. If I lose control my filters drop and I say inappropriate things. I was skirting right on the edge of that line last night. Time will tell if I fell to the wrong side of it. I fear that I did, but I'm not sure. This is better then many times in the past when there was no question I dove right over it.
I wasn't on a date - it was just a bunch of us on our usual post-archery beer fest.
