We had a big group meeting at work today (two work stories in two days - how weird is that). People were getting their X Years in the Company awards. I wasn't expecting it this time around, but I got my ten year award (which will actually occur August 11).
I get called up to receive my award. As I make my way to the front of the crowd I had to fight the mental urge to:

I get called up to receive my award. As I make my way to the front of the crowd I had to fight the mental urge to:
- Bow to the boss.
- Kneel.
- Take three steps back before bowing again, turning and walking away.

Date: 2007-05-04 01:02 am (UTC)Wow - has it been ten years already? Congratulations - in an industry where 3-5 year tenures in one place are considered normal, that's an accomplishment!
But then again, I shouldn't talk - I was joking with coworkers this week that next May I'll have to take the department out to The Black Swan to celebrate the fact my career will officially be of legal drinking age! (Yikes!)
