Crunchy Toast - the Movie
Sep. 25th, 2005 09:35 pmFriday was good but could have been better. It was scheduled as a friday off but I was short five hours. So the good news is I only worked five hours. The bad news is I worked at all. Thankfully it was a reasonably productive day.
I met
evilscientist after work and we went up to my place. Normally we would drive, but he's taking the bus again due to the fact that it takes a second mortgage to fill up the car. On the way up to my house some yahoo started honking at me. Long training from high school taught me never to look at someone honking at you unless it is accompanied by the tell tale doppler shift indicating that they're about to hit you.
The honking began again as a car pulled up to us, indicating the presence of Colleen, who was trying to get my attention for reasons less nefarious than my old High School bullies. This would be Office Depot Colleen and not any other sort of Colleen. Chatted for a few minutes which was fun, but I really need to invite her up for an evening.
I talked Lisa into loaning me her car and suddenly evilscientist,
garething and
stephtopia didn't have to take the peasant wagon to evilscientist's car across town. It took a few attempts to get everyone together though on account of some co-ed showering. We went to Chico's Tecante restaurant in the NE for some good, cheap Mexican food. Afterwards we wandered down to archery.
At archery I shot a 76. Good, but still not quite the 80 I'm currently aiming for.
We went to Brewsters afterwards for what Da Union refers to as beer-o'clock. I talked with Madb who works for the Fairmont group and I've managed to get a nice room at the Banff Springs Hotel for my birthday (two more months!)!
Archery also featured at least three women I'd like to ask out on a date. Hmm - I may have to do something about that.
Saturday I ran 45 minutes non-stop. Watched a few movies and got together with
thebrucie and Brain to watch Corpse Bride. We got to the theatre with only a few minutes to spare. Brain got his ticket and I, right after him, did not get mine - he got the very last ticket. We cancelled (Brain got his money back) and ended up renting Dodgeball, which was pretty funny.
Sunday was a quiet day, I spent most of it on the couch watching House M.D. which I've decided i love on account of all the characters are, in one way or another, pricks. I also got kicked out of my own living room for making too much noise. Damn students - if they didn't make cookies I'd evict them all.
Sadly
wendy_licious ovulated last week, so I've got a few weeks to wait.
