Petals Around the Rose

I found this yesterday. played it for about ten minutes without figuring it out. This morning (after my subconscious had the whole night to chew on it) I knew the way.

And if you figure it out, don't post the method - let others have some fun too.

Yeah, I figured it out the first time. I can get the numbers consistently. When I read that smarter people tended to have trouble with it I realized it would be something simple and obvious. Then I went with the description of it, petals on the rose. Of course, you must have both rose and petal, not just a rose, and not just some petals.
