So I haven't been posting much lately - I blame laziness and the fact that every time I try to write about something social or political, someone beats me too it and does a better job. That being the case here is a big damn questionnaire-style meme. I haven't done one of those in awhile.

1: Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?
Open, because it makes it easier to hang things from the door.

2: Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
I'm trying to break myself of this habit, since I've accumulated a bunch of little shampoos and conditioners that I never use (I use bar soap for my hair - and it's just fine). I still happily take the soap, traveler's sewing kits (if upscale enough) as well as pads and pens. I've been debating taking the bibles as a public service, but I haven't quite overcome my reluctance to be a douche-bag.

3: Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?
I'm not sure what this means. Tucked into the mattress? Hell no, I hate that. Tucked in under me so I'm all wrapped up nice and cozy? Yes please.

4: Have you ever stolen a street sign before?
No, that's dangerous. I'm tempting for signs like this:

or this:

or this:
.

5: Do you like to use post-it notes?
Occasionally, mostly as bookmarks.

6: Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?
If I cut them out, I use them. But it's not often that I cut them out.

7: Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of a bees?
I'd rather be attacked by a bee the size of a bear. It would be physically ill-adapted to being that size, so I'd have a tactical advantage. Alternatively, a swarm of bears the size of bees would be good too, because bears don't have stingers.

8: Do you have freckles?
I sometimes feel that I'm nothing but freckles. Alas.

The perfect amount of freckles to have is seven (three on the bridge of the nose and two on each cheek), and I have far more than that.

9: Do you always smile for pictures?
I grimace and mug for cameras. I find it hard to deliberately smile for a camera and have it come of as genuine.

10: What is your biggest pet peeve?
I have so many, and they're so situation-dependent. When driving It's inconsiderate/inattentive drivers. I pay attention to my surroundings and attempt to (mostly) drive in a courteous manner, why don't the rest of you? In fact that tends to irritate me anywhere. Hallways and aisles, the checkout line, anywhere really. If you're not paying attention, or you feel your time is simply so important relative to mine that you can disregard common courtesy, then I'm going to justifiably conclude that you're a miserable prick.

11: Do you ever count your steps when you walk?
All the time, but I'm worse when I'm running. In fact, I make a game of it to pace my distance. One number every four paces: 1-100 in English, then 1-100 in German, then 99-0 in German and finally 99-0 in English. Roughly 1600 meters, or about 1 mile. Today I counted to 1920.

I think I need to mix this up a bit and learn how to count in French.

12: Have you ever peed in the woods?
When you're a man, the entire world is your urinal.

13: What about pooped in the woods?
Biffies in the woods, but not the woods themselves.

14: Do you ever dance even if there's no music playing?
All the time, so long as no one is looking.

15: Do you chew your pens and pencils?
All the time - I have a powerful oral fixation.

16: How many people have you slept with this week?
Do you mean in reality or in my rich fantasy life? Of course, that response might hint at the former being zero, which is sadly accurate.

17: What size is your bed?
Queen size. I also have a double bed for camping in.

18: What is your Song of the week?
"Photograph" - Carlos Santana and Chris Daughtry.

19: Is it okay for guys to wear pink?

Why would anyone want to stop?

There are so many, which explains my Jabba-like physique. Sushi, pizza, chocolate, bacon.

26: What movies could you watch over and over and still love?
Here's a list, out-of-date in a lot of ways, but the movies are still favorites.

27: Last person you kissed/kissed you?
I deliberately kissed [livejournal.com profile] othelianna's hand just so I'd have an answer for this that wouldn't cause Drama.

28: Were you ever a boy/girl scout?
I was a cub scout (the level before boys scouts) for a year. It became yet another social circle to be bullied in.

29: Would you ever strip or pose nude in a magazine?
Sure, for enough money to retire on comfortably. I can say with confidence that anyone with that much money to spend on nudes would pick someone better looking than I.

At least 10 years. I used to do it all the time, but blogging is my writing outlet now, and I travel enough I can visit most of my distant friends reasonably often.

In bed by 10. Actually asleep by 11.

37: Are you lazy?
Sometimes - it would be more accurate to say that I'm easily distracted. If a job needs doing And I know how to do it I will. If I don't know how, I might put it off for a long time due to anxiety rather than sloth.

38: When you were a kid, what did you dress up as for Halloween?
I honestly can't remember. Sadly, I had to quit trick-or-treating early due to being tall for my age. I got the stink-eye from lots of parents who thought I was older than I was.
