I'm not that dumb. Actually I got into it on a discussion group that's usually a lot more civil. Plus my initial statement was completely innocuous so the fact that it got a response at all was a surprise. The vitriol made it an unpleasant surprise.

Turns out that, in a post discussing Weight Watchers new advertising campaign targeting men (They've never done that before), the fact that a man in Weight Watchers would comment is offensive by itself.
