For some reason, Adrien Brody came up in conversation the other day. He's been getting a lot of starring roles lately. I don't think this is so much because of a breakthrough movie (The Pianist, for which he won a Best Actor Oscar) as a breakthrough move. Specifically, when he stuck his tongue down Halle Berry's throat at the 2002 Academy Awards. I bet a lot of casting directors saw that (certainly more than saw The Piano) and said "That took balls kid - you deserve a reward".
Of course, frenching Halle Berry is probably it's own reward.
