Say Cheese

We're running low on groceries here at Pepperland. Mostly this was due to the purge that thebrucie did when he left.

Bruce: "I'm packing my stuff out of the kitchen. Should I throw away anything perishable that's been here since I moved in?"
Me: "Go for it".

Last week I ran out of processed cheese slices. Searching through the fridge I found just enough extra-old white cheddar for my lunch, so I sliced it up and put it on my sandwich. My immediate thought, upon taking a bite just now, was "Damn that tastes good", swiftly followed by "Why do I buy crappy cheese again?" So on the way home tonight I think I'm going to swing by the store and buy some more cheddar. And brie. And maybe a nice blue stilton. Mmm mmm.

I *heart* cheese! Good cheese = good life. I'm suprised people even look at let alone buy processed cheese. Enjoy some of the finer things :)

Processed = cheaper.
sucky but true and I'd rather live with cheap sucky cheese than no cheese at all.

Haha. So true that any cheese is better than no cheese at all, however on my university budget I pinch pennies where I can in order to have real cheese in my budget :) One of the best parts about it is that cheese takes forever to go bad too so it's not even like splurging on fruit that goes rotten really quickly! Mmmmm cheese :)

Safeway actually sells Stilton in slices! I had the most delicious ham and cheese sandwich ever!

I love this raw cheddar that I can get. I'm hoping to find more raw cheese. It's delicious and nutritious. It's made from unpasteurized milk.
