So I've had two beer and I'm drunk Not what I'd intended, but still a pleasant surprise. The fact that the first beer was large and the second beer was strong may have contributed. What follows is a bit of a stream-of-consciousness post (hampered somewhat by the fact that I'm just sober enough to correct my spelling - I had to correct "consciousness" five times to make it OK).

Cheese curds (all the way from Montreal, thanks to the ever fantastic [livejournal.com profile] wild_wanderer) go really good melted on veggie hot dogs. OTOH, almost anything will improve a veggie hotdog. I won them from [livejournal.com profile] conejita_diabla in a bidding war at Montengarde Tavern. Probably I could have saved money by just letting her win and stealing some. That's what she's doing, except I suspect they'd have been consumed faster if she were the legitimate owner.

Chatting with [livejournal.com profile] rato_do_perigo is always a bit odd on account of the fact that we've never met in person, yet we know so many of the same people and have known them all for a long time. As I mentioned in comments on another post, I attribute this to knowing people like [livejournal.com profile] catalytic, but not actually hanging out with them. I was a nerd focused on school and then work for the relevant timeframe. How many other people are there in the same social circle whose orbits simply haven't intersected?

I've been reading Savage Love (probably NSFW, but it's just an advice column) and I have to say I love it for more then just the obvious reasons (modern, level-headed, well-written). I read it and think I might have some serious hangups, but at least I'm not like you people." I'll take my victories where I can find them, even if they are kind of shallow. Of course, that's also why I like to occasionally go to Border Crossing - when I think I'm the best-looking person there (aside from my friends), it's a place where the patron/tooth ratio is approaching 1.

I've had the song "Police Truck" by the Dead Kennedys going through my head all day. Let me tell you that is not a nice earworm to have. It's catchy at least, just don't sing on the bus. ♪ We're gonna beat you blue, 'til you shit in your pants ♫ FUCK.

And on that happy note, I think it's time for bed.

Had to youtube Police Truck. Then googled the lyrics cause I can't turn up the volume. Glad I can't turn up the volume! Hehe...you're right though, the tune is catchy. Little bit Rockabilly!

if we had met we'd probably have dated then broke up then it would be either uncomfortable at get togethers or we'd have just slept with each other because there was nothing else to do :-)
