Saw the grand opening for Vertigo's new production of Murder on the Nile, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] othelianna. Have I mentioned that I like having friends in the theatre? I do.

Also saw [livejournal.com profile] laughingmagpie and [livejournal.com profile] rajsmith attending the show and dressed to the nines. recognizing them, but being inherently shy, I naturally didn't do something breathtakingly simple like say hi to them.

Yeah, I'm a goof.

Anyway, Murder on the Nile was decent. Perhaps not the best play I've ever seen, but a solid effort. The catering afterwards was really good too.

Awww, thanks. I wish you'd come up to say hi, of course!

Though, before the rumors start - I was with my husband [livejournal.com profile] rajsmith (aka Dr Smith) and not my pal [livejournal.com profile] drhaggis ;-). They can be hard to keep track of :-)

I really liked the set and lighting, and the play was fun. You're right, not world-shaking, but solid entertainment. It was also my first paid credited gig for costuming! Yay!

ETA: Sorry to fill you inbox with edits after screwing up the lj user code, and now I'm adding this! But I really sympathize with being shy like this, I get really nervous about approaching people and always worry I'll have forgotten their name. So: not rude at all, to answer the question in your title.

You've been doing some professional costuming and you didn't TELL me!?!?!?!

*goes off to pout*

I figured that's where the drhaggis/dr smith confusion came in - no worries!

petranef: It was just "hems and snaps", nothing really exciting from a costuming point of view, and the first I've really talked about is just now and I made an LJ post about it today as well. No need to pout :-)
