An Abortive Attempt at Rocking Out

Today was a day of extremes. I woke up and immediately set to work moving furniture. Then I went shopping at the MEC and went bowling. Afterwards I did some much needed grocery shopping. Rented a steam cleaner and cleaned the rugs in the living room, dining room and one bedroom, all the prepare for thebrucie's arrival tomorrow. He did show up today (along with conejita_diabla and sagaciouslu. The pan was for Rockband, but I was tired, cranky and achy from moving furniture and pushing a rather heavy steam cleaner.

Instead of rockband, I opted for (a) 400 mg or ibuprofen. (b) two large, highly alcohol-content beers. (c) An episode of The Hilarious House of Frightenstein! which I had recently purchased. There was much laughter, and by the time I finished the two beers, I was slurring my words, staggering around and generally drunk off my ass. Probably the last time I will be in such a state until Estrella. It's been two hours and I'm still having trouble walking straight and typing without committing multiple typos.

Later we had a bite to eat and regaled each other with amusing anecdotes and philosophical discussions. All-in-all a very pleasant day, despite the huge amount of back-ache inducing chores.

Tomorrow: Oatmeal, followed by moving more of Bruce's stuff in.

I had really wanted to make it, but my meds messed my sleep up so badly the night before I ended up in massive pain all fricken day.


Last night I guess I made it up though... by sleeping for 15 hours straight O.o
