I'm leaning towards flying from Phoenix to Las Vegas just so I'm not stuck in a car for 8 hours. Flights are super cheap.

Airline math is not like our Earth math. If I were to fly from San Francisco to Calgary, it would cost me twice as much as if I were to fly from Las Vegas to San Francisco to Calgary, even though it's likely the same aircraft. I was briefly tempted to book the flight that way and spend the Wednesday in San Francisco, except that:

1. The airlines are well aware of this trick and specifically watch for it.
2. Booking a flight and not getting onto it (in Las Vegas for example) is a good way to get onto a Homeland Security watchlist.

C'est la vie.

Awesome! More people to join in on the fun. Any chance we can get you into armour for the Quck and the Dead tourney?

There's a chance. I'd need:

• Authorization.
• Armour.
• A weapon.

I do intend on sending my target archery kit down. I know that has nothing to do with the Q&TD, but I do intend on kicking some archery ass when I'm down there.

Armour's the most important part. Even if you can borrow enough from the loaner armour to get a full kit together.

A weapon should not be too hard as I'm hoping to have 2 sets available, and people are more than willing to share if it gets more people in on the fun.

Authorization will also be easy so long as you get your armour together, we'll make it happen!

I have my old helm still, it may fit you. As for a crossbow, you'll have one for the tourney if you want. I was just talking with the guy running the tourney and he said there will be lots more people than weapons so sharing will be done.

The problem we generally run into is that I have a freakishly large and misshapen melon. Only a handful of helms will fit me.

Hmmm - looks like A & T and also Steinn and Gemma are flying out on Sunday. Maybe find out when their flights are, and if you can cluster it might be easiest to pre-book a shuttle to the airport (way cheaper if there's a group). We're going to be packing the van from first thing in the morning, so that might make things easier for everyone...
