Just One Last Thing Sir...

SCA tavern was tonight. I missed it because I was invited to the opening night of a new Columbo play.

I had great company with othelianna and her ex roomie T as well as assorted other theatre minions. Met her adorable boss. Got to see lots and lots of lovely ladies dressed to the nines.

Afterward, we went to The Auburn for a drink and hung out. We had delicious shadenfreude for appys and I observed that techs and actors make two distinct tribes, with little mixing between them. Also, all the actors had an... aura about them that branded them as actors. Similarly, all the techs had a look about them that gave them a sameness. It wasn't just a look, it was mannerisms, turns-of-phrase, etc. I went into Anthropologist mode and sat back observing. It was fun.

I think I'd like to try theatre out. Perhaps in the new year I'll volunteer, once I've escaped the shackles of Seneschal-dom.

In other news, I lost 4.2 pounds this week. Yay me!
