jamesqI got back from Cuba and it started to snow. It was big white fluffy snow. Cotton-candy-like snow. The sort of snow that falls in the background of Hallmark Christmas specials. Happy snow.
The temperature never dropped below 0 and it went away in a few days.
It's snowing again today. It was cold, windy icy snow. The kind that falls sideways and tells you "stay indoors you fool". The kind you have to scrape off the windshield and is impossible to shovel off the walks.
It will be followed by near-frictionless driving conditions tomorrow and evidence that a week of sunshine erases the knowledge of winter driving from the minds of nearly all Calgarians.
This snow is not happy. Neither am I.
