Today I am a Seneschal.

You did nothing wrong - there has been a problem with reporting for so long that event though we're up to date finally they will take the chance that we will report late again. Actually it's quite understandable.

Oh and it's not the crown, this is coming down from the Society level.

To the seneschal is granted great responsibility.
To the Crowns and BoD is granted great authority.

The (modified) Regulations for the Protection of Personal Information state that only those with a need to know and who possess sufficient authority shall be privy to certain situations.

Even though the seneschal does not have authority to know about certain situations, they still bear the responsibility for it.
