Went to Banff this afternoon. Eight of us went, all of whom are on LJ (

We window shopped, bought chocolate and soaked in the hot springs.

What really made the trip though was our unplanned meal. Originally, we were going to go to Grizzly House, but a not-so-good experience last time on the part of some diners, along with at least one person having ethical objections (They serve shark meat), we decided to go somewhere else.

We went to Maple Leaf Grille and Lounge instead and damned if it wasn't one of the best meals I've had in a long long time. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to impress the hell out of a date, or just have a fantastic dining experience. Be advised that it is fairly expensive (Our bill was over $600).

I've had a great meal, I've got a bag full of peanut butter logs and I'm well relaxed from an hour long hot spring soak. Definitely a good day. It being merely Friday, I predict the rest of the weekend will also be good. Opportunities for nudity being sorely lacking, it won't be perfect though. I can live with almost-perfect.
