- I want to help, but don't know how.
- Looming project deadlines.
- While new friends are appearing, I fear that others may be slipping away.
- I went running today, but had to stop after a few blocks because my left knee was bothering me. I've never had trouble with my knees before.
- Tomorrow I'm going to compete to become the Principality Archery Champion.
- Curia meeting on Sunday - I hope it's not another "blame Montengarde" meeting like in February.
There is some good news: Wednesday's council meeting went about as smoothly as I think it's possible for an SCA cat-herding meeting to go. We moved forward on a lot of stuff, had decent closure on other stuff and it was all done with a minimal amount of off-topic wandering.

Date: 2007-08-18 07:45 pm (UTC)Ask for advice from somebody who would know how.
Example: I am not a people person. Whenever I have communication problems with a user, I go to a people person across the hall from me. I explain the situation, and she advises me on the best way to proceed. I sometimes even follow her advice. Whenever possible, I delegate the situation to her. Which is fair since she delegates technical issues to me whenever possible. We are at the point where routine problems of either kind can be handled by either of us.
Oh, another thing. It might be a situation in which you can do nothing. Or which it might be better to do nothing. For example, it is usually inadvisable to interfere in a land war in Asia.
