Not Paranoid Enough
Jul. 31st, 2004 04:24 pmI was chatting with Jason this afternoon and regaling him with my Mormon encounter. He tells me that he too ran into some missionaries this morning, though they were somewhat less rude (went away when asked) than mine were.
We're driving to his place from Ikea (Swedish for "oh my dear sweet lord did I really just spend $2100!") when we spot two more, and for a split second I think it's the same two.
It wasn't though, but they sure did look similar. Same suit, same haircut, same Aryan skin tone. Jason mentions that they do all look the same. That's when I had an epiphany.
Presumably aliens will respond in subtly wrong ways and this will trigger alarms that cause Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith to show up with big guns that go "Zownt".

Mormon missionaries are actually the Men In Black!Think about it, it's the perfect front for looking for aliens-in-our-midst. You get to go door to door asking personal questions. They go in pairs. They're not considered quite normal.
