The Joys of Sleep Deprivation
Jun. 22nd, 2007 08:34 amI'm back in Cowtown now. I decided to go the the SCA tavern, partially to show off my new kilt but also to regale everyone with tales of my trip. Tavern, of course, is next week.
On the bright side, I wasn't the only person dressed funny at the tavern location. Fighter practice was also on. Ellias had brought his prototype war arrows, so we spent some time shooting them (the arrows), then shooting them (the heavies)! Fun. At least the evening wasn't wasted.
Didn't make it to my Thursday WW meeting, so I'll just go next week. This week I'm back on the wagon and also running my stomach off (don't need to run my ass off).
Driving was fun. No problems with the whole right/left thing, but I was punchier then I thought. I cut some guy off pulling away from the curb at practice. I swear I shoulder checked, but obviously not well enough. Thankfully all that happened was a swerve and a honk.

Date: 2007-06-22 10:01 pm (UTC)After driving in New Zealand more than 5 years ago there will still be moments - especially in parking lots - where I'll suddenly not know which side I'm supposed to be on... The first time it happened was months after returning actually - almost like when I'd stopped paying attention and being careful with it!
