Fund Raiser For Brain Tumour Research

I got an email from a coworker today, asking me to support his run in this Sunday's Spring Sprint (put on by the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada). The email was one of the first things I read upon getting to work. Given that Chad's funeral was why I wasn't at work this morning, I'm choosing to view this as karma giving me a swift kick in the pants to do something. That's why I've entered myself.

The race is on Sunday, starting at the North Glenmore Park Community Centre. Sponsor me/participate/spread the word, whatever you're comfortable with.

Here's to using a skill set I possess (running) as a substitute for skill sets I lack (consoling the grieving, curing cancer, etc).

Looks like I simply make the team, then people join. So technically I could be a team of one. Interested? We could go with the smarmy "Friends of Chad" as the team name. I'm partial to "Team Chad" though, which has the advantage of being terse but descriptive. I briefly considered "the Hanging Chads", but I suspect he'd like that about as much as I like "Home James" as a command when I'm driving.
