Recently, I've been having trouble controlling my cravings. Bad news begets a bad attitude and a bad attitude makes me say "fuck it". This is bad news when I'm gaining weight on weight watchers. It means that I'm less likely to stick to program when I'm doing badly. This is not uncommon among WW members. This week was particularly bad. I was off program, eating badly, not journalling or exercising.

I lost 1 pound. After gaining weight the last two weigh-ins. Weird, but hey, I'll take it.

It's put me into a good mood! I got home after tavern and thought "an ice cream bar would sure be nice right about now". Then I thought, "actually, I'm really not hungry, I'll skip it". If I wasn't in a good mood, the second thoughts would not have occurred until after I ate the ice cream bar.

So yeah, good news begets good mood, which in turn makes me more likely to stick to the program. This is good as I have ten pounds to go and I've committed to having it gone by Labour day.

In other news, today was SCA tavern and it was also the one year anniversary of me winning the Minotaur's Ninny. I had two things to do. First, I had to add to the regalia of the Ninny (a gold painted doll). I did this by giving it bloomers made out of the same fabric as my sanity-blasting kilt. And by "I", I mean "[livejournal.com profile] kermie_canada", who did all the work. Second, I had to hold a contest to pick the next holder of the Ninny. The theme this year was "silly weapons". And they were pretty silly. The winner was a clay hand grenade containing a fart. I did not test it.

Tomorrow is my first camping event with my new tent. It's still pretty chilly out, so wish me (and [livejournal.com profile] hislittlekitty and [livejournal.com profile] conejita_diabla) luck.

Hey. I'm wondering if you've heard of something called the "Wendie" plan? It involves doing a little dance with your points throughout the week. Since you may have heard of it already, I won't go much farther than that, other than provide you with the linkage: http://www.stormpc.com/ww/wendie_plan.htm . I have been following WW for the last 4 weeks, but I don't belong to WW, just using the books I have and an online support group. I don't follow the Wendie plan but it does sound interesting.
