Everyone's Busy Getting Ready For Quad
Jul. 31st, 2007 10:32 pmBetween last year's Quad War and the just finished Dragonslayer, I am very much looking forward to this year's Quad War (this weekend). Preparations today were the buying of provisions. The provisions consist of a small amount of camping food, probably more booze then I'm likely to actually consume (but I like to share) and some brand new camping equipment.
My camping phobia is starting to disappear. Comfortable bedding, a tall tent and nearby showers seem to be chipping away at it. A bed-warmer sure helps too.
Wednesday: Hit Ikea to get some parts. Swing by
evilscientist's place to get back some garb I loaned him. Organizing the equipment so that all the cooking gear is in a single tote. Make a list of everything that needs to go (as well as where it should go)
Thursday: Pick up some fabric to make a passable toga (and a plain white tee for underneath). Weight Watchers. Pack the car full of the non-perishables. Oh, and make some cookies.
Friday: Buy some ice. Gas up the car. Load the cooler with food and put it into the car. Drive to the site. Setup camp. Begin socializing!
