Toon Town, Part 2
Mar. 25th, 2007 12:38 amMyrgan Wood Spring Champions was a pretty good event. I was expecting a few more people though. I forgot that Saskatoon only has 30% of Calgary's population.
The feast was awesome. I heard numerous people say the same thing: "Dave is the feastocrat? Sign me up" His reputation was well deserved. And I'm all out of bonus points for the week. It was worth it though.
Morrigan ended up winning the archery tournament, I think I ended up in second place. That's cool. I got to do very well, made some decent points for the Tournament or Tournaments, and got to avoid court. It was an almost-win-win situation.
I did end up addressing court though - I had to announce
vilashna's cancer fund raising (if she raises $1000, she'll shave her head. Contact her if you want to donate something. It really is a good cause). I also discovered that you shouldn't spin around too fast when wearing a kilt. On the bright side, I'm not in a regiment. Better still, I do have the best legs in Montengarde. Sadly, I scandalized the ladies of court.
All-in-all, a decent event. I could make the seven hour trip again.
I found out that my motel is on the edge of the bad part of Saskatoon. This confirms my observations, which include the fact that I've seen more security guards in my short time here then I do in any month in Calgary. There are a few more rooms tonight, which means I'm in the non-stinking room now.
It's been a good day.

Date: 2007-03-25 06:48 pm (UTC)Is that including you?
Will Saskatoon be giving them back any time soon?
Does Calgary want them back?
Does this mean the Calgary housing market will come down to a reasonable level?
What about the gophers?
You mention "only", does that mean that Saskatoon has plans for the other 70%?
