Music Video Mystery

Last night during the previews, the theatre played a music video. The video was of a guy singing during what appeared to be a cheap ass play of Moby Dick. He was wearing heavy mascara and black nail polish. Some of the action was on stage during scenes of the play, some on stage while ballerinas danced around the lead and whispered in his ear. The chorus had lines something like "Throw me in the ocean".

Naturally, they didn't mention the song title or the band's name. Does anyone have a clue as to what the title/artist is?
