This was me on my walk home from work today:


Possibly the finest picture of me ever taken.

It's officially Ass Biting Cold outside. Second time this year (the last time being the even worse cold snap over my birthday, when thebrucie and I drove up to the 'Chuk).

Note the stylish Cartman hat, snowboarding jacket that has never been anywhere near a snowboard and the scarf worn Winnipegger-style (over the nose). Of course, the only thing the ensemble didn't protect was my eyes. How do I know it was ABC out? My eyelids froze shut.

Eyelids froze shut, huh... Guess that'd be why I hauled my carcass outta the house, jumped into my warm car and went and picked my lady up from the train station so she didn't freeze to death on that short walk up the hill...

Sadly, if it weren't for her, I'd probably have stayed in the house all day and never known how cold it had gotten...

I forgot my mittens at my sisters' place.
Gloves are not rated for minus thirty two.
Lucky for me I did not spend much time out there and the unplugged car still started.

BTW: Have you noticed the darkness surrounding you?
