2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?

With his huge army of slave labour he wraps them.

None of the above - I don't like lights on the house.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?

That could get ugly.

5. When do you put your decorations up?

Usually the week before.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?

Mashed potatoes with turkey gravy. Yummy!

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?

The 100-in-one electronic experiments I got from Mom/Dad/Santa/Radio Shack. I played with that thing for months.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?

My big-mouth brother told me when I was seven.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?

No! Our families tradition was this: On Christmas day you could get up whenever you wanted. You could go through the contents of your stocking. When everyone was up, and we had all had breakfast, we could then open the presents together. My brother's kids have the one-present-christmas-eve meme and it bugs me. Man up you nancies.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?

My Christmas tree is very small (like 18 inches high) so it gets a few glass balls, a few other ornaments, maybe a little tinsel and that's it. One of these years I'll get a proper tree. Lacking a family it's never been a high priority.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?

I love to look at it. Hate to shovel it. playing in it? If it's cold enough so that it doesn't get you wet, but warm enough that you don't freeze to death it's a wonderful thing.

12. Can you ice skate?

Possibly. I haven't made an attempt since I was a cub scout though. If it's like bicycle riding I should be OK though. Never did learn how to stop though. I used to just go in circles until I lost my forward momentum. If I was in a hurry to stop I'd run into something.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?

My mother's presence at Christmas a few months after she came missed a 60% chance of dying.

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?

It forces us all to refocus on what is really important in our lives.

15. What is your favorite Holiday dessert?

Sweethearts - a cookie that I only make around Christmas. Hmm. I should check to see if we have all the ingredients.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?

A sit down meal with my relatives.

17. What tops your tree?

Nothing - it's too small. A star when I get a proper tree.

18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?

Giving. My material needs are all met so I don't need presents. As with my birthday, an acknowledgment that my friends are thinking of me is the best present I can get.

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?

Christmas in Killarney. My folks had this on an album that they dragged out every Christmas. The version they had was by some Irish singer whose name I haven't a clue about. it's always stuck in my mind. I've tried to find it via P2P software many times.
