Today I drove to the Olympic Oval and ran. I was going to run 8 circuits of 30 seconds running and 4.5 minutes walking. I felt so good I made it 9 circuits of 1 minute running and 4 minutes walking. Afterwards my leg still felt great.

I ran flat out for those little pieces - it felt so good to actually be doing something useful that I actually cried. I think it also shocked me out of the mood I've been in for the last few days. By the end I was both tired (because I've basically had no exercise for six weeks and everything has weakened) and also awash in endorphins.

I'm running again - all will be right in my world eventually if I can just keep running.

I know it wasn't meant as such, but I consider this one of the finest birthday presents I've ever received. Good for you. Here's to every stride, and may there be many more.

Good on ya! I'd love to come with sometime, if that might work - my running buddy isn't really feeling into it lately, and I've been slacking for a good long while.

BTW, your earlier post made me think to go update my 43things profile. Thanks!

Congrats! It's amazing what a little exercise can do for your mood, isn't it?
