Sunday Improvements

jamesqAfterwards my day improved immensely. We went to Banff and soaked in the hot springs. While chatting about the recent SCA event, the hottie sitting next to us in the pool introduced herself. She was in the SCA herself. Sadly I didn't catch her name, but she's a member of a mercenary outfit of heavy fighters called the Silver Foxes. She even had a fox tattooed on her inside forearm. She was based out of Lion's Gate and wanted to know if we were heading out to the Clinton War. It was the first time in awhile that I had a desire to go to Clinton, but it will not happen - Clinton is the same weekend as the ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

For a few minutes at least, the four of us were friends, sharing a bond of mutual knowledge and appreciation of the society. It was fun while it lasted.
Afterwards we (garething, stephtopia and I, not the silver fox - and oh yeah I would have invited her if she hadn't vanished) had sushi at an upscale restaurant on Banff avenue and later I bought fudge that I did not need. I'll pay for it Thursday at WW weigh-in - especially since I also managed to pull a leg muscle Saturday so I haven't been running.
The ride home was uneventful and I fell asleep quickly. Much was accomplished this weekend, but I once again need another weekend to recover.
