Missing Roomies

jamesqI heard a vicious rumour that my roomies would be back yesterday, but they're still not here. What's up with that?
It's especially troubling when you realize that all three of them are university students and the fall term starts today.

I heard wrong - they're expected in today, and should be there by the time I get home.

The "being late" rumor is ony reserved for the 'day after' (or few weeks after). The 'arriving, arriving' rumors is for those times when they have the opportunity to 'fake it'. Usually followed or interspersed with a few choice explanations of theological faith and such. (the 'oh god' parts)
