I was at CostCo this weekend when I saw the men's version of this. Later, I saw a commercial for this. That's when I thought "Hey, that's not really a razor - it's a vibrator for people who are embarrassed to own a vibrator". Mark Morford, as usual, put it all into perspective.
A few thoughts on this:
1) As a razor, it's the dumbest idea I've ever seen - it pretty much guarantees a difficult shave.
2) It's marketing brilliance.
Something like 20% of all women own a vibrator. This statistic astonishes me because my guess for ownership among the women I know is closer to 100%. Frankly if any woman reading this blog says they don't own one, I'd be shocked. What is wrong with that other 80%? I guess my contemporaries are keeping the average up for all the Mormons.
