Date: 2005-05-17 06:26 am (UTC)I remember one day when an employee walked in the door and pushed "play" on the office CD player. She made it exactly three steps away before stopping with a full-body shudder. Anyone would have thought that she had received an ice cold shower. She slowly turned around with her mouth agape and jaw hitting the floor in shock.
You see, I had been listening to something a bit heavy the night before. And, with all metal, there is only one volume that suits - top volume.
She spent the rest of the day trying to claw out her new and improved mental image of me in the early 80s as a banger with a racoon tail keychain hanging from my purse.
Funny that. I don't recall EVER having a racoon tail keychain. And I doubt that anyone would have accused me of being a banger... or a prep... or a jock...
