Volunteers Wanted

Repair Café Calgary is looking for volunteers to help out at their booth at the Calgary Comic Expo. This will be to help Expo attendees with making spot repairs to their costumes, so the volunteers should be good with costuming skills of all sorts, but especially sewing. laughingmagpie and petranef, I'm thinking of you!

What's in it for you? Reduced or free admission to the expo (depending on how long you volunteer for), an opportunity to help out and meet like-minded folks, and the warm fuzzy feeling you get from volunteering within your own fandom.

Anyway, contact Repair Café if you're interested. I'd do it myself, but the last time I attempted to use a sewing machine, I destroyed three villages and opened a hellmouth.

I wish the Expo didn't conflict with Silver Arrow.... :(

Yeah. I might switch it out next year, but I always have a good time at Bitter End events. I guess there are worse problems to have.

Thanks for thinking of me! :) I am already trying to avoid working at the Expo in the Costume Shoppe booth. ;) But I suspect I'll be drafted anyway.

As long as I still get to see Nathan, I'm okay.
