I was at the mall over lunch and saw this sign at a store selling hot tubs:
A motor so powerful it has its own patent"
As an INTP and grammar nazi, this kind of statement is like fingers on a chalkboard to me. What's the problem? The first part and last part of the statement are not related to each other. Power and patents do not correlate with each other. It's like saying "My socks are so white, I lay them down east/west."

It's not just a bad statement, it's a non sequitur.

This is why I try not to watch too many ads on TV.
