I can see you. Some of you who have been reading my LiveJournal. It's all right here. Note that the link shows you who's been looking at your journal, not mine. I can't see that.

I can't see all of you of course, the who statistics are binary - people who allow themselves to be seen can, in turn, see who's looking at them. People who do not want their movements traced cannot see other people's movements.

But still, some things can be figured out. For example, I can tell who some of the invisible people are: If you've comment on one of my posts in the last month, but your not on my guest list, then I know you're invisible.

I can tell a few other things too, for example, some web sites can tell that I've been sending them traffic. I know this because I've seen their owners taking a peek at my little corner of the web. I doubt anything will ever come of this as I don't have what it takes to be one of the cool, popular bloggers.

For every one of my cool posts, there's usually one quiz, two links, five I-had-toast-it-was-crunchy posts and thirteen posts where I whine about too much weight or too little sex. If you want to filter these posts you can check my memories or tags.

I get the occasional wanderer or Russian-bot too, which is odd.

Of course, because I've seen all that, I've probably been leaving my fingerprints all over other people's LJs too - I do tend to wander around quite a bit, following links wherever they take me. I might regret that waste of time on my deathbed, but that's life.

Anyway, have a look at yours, it might give you some insights. I predict at least a few of you will turn yourselves invisible when you figure out the implications.
