2:33:54 is the official time. Of the guys in my age range, I did pathetic - 184th out of 199.

This is to be expected - I was the fattest person in the race.

When I did this two years ago, my time was 2:05:06. I was also 40 pounds lighter.

Today I am very sore and very creaky and feeling every minute of my nearly 42-years on this planet as well as every ounce of my 254 pounds.

Not good enough? Bullshit. As one other person pointed out, I couldn't run that distance. Could you do better? Yes. Do you want to do better? Yes. In the meantime, stop beating yourself up for your accomplishments.

Dude, you finished the race! That alone earns a grand bow of respect from me. 184th out of 199? You were one of the 199! I mentioned your accomplishment to Ronya and she is deeply impressed. She honestly couldn't imagine running for that long, period, let alone establishing any kind of time signature for it.

Bravo!

pish-tosh: you said you were going to do it and you followed through, despite all the reasons you gave yourself not to. That's a pretty big achievement, right there.
