Mission101 v2 Update 1

Monthly Mission101 Update.

I know some of you are interested in doing your own - dive in, it's fun.

Completed:

None this month. Lots of partial progress though.

In Progress:

8. Go to a major SCA event, such as Estrella or Pennsic.

I've finalized my plans to go to Estrella. Plane tickets bought, bags mostly packed. Waiting with antici...pation.

9. Travel to Las Vegas.

This is going to be in conjunction with the Estrella trip. Two nights just off the strip. Ale and Whores baby!

34. Become a combat archer.

Getting the gear together.

37. Recommend five people for awards in 2009.

Three so far - two of whom got their award!

47. Write at least one major, non-crunchy-toast LJ-post biweekly in 2009.

So far so good.

52. Six new restaurants in 2009.

• Cora's Breakfast.
• Vero Bistro Moderne.
• Diner Deluxe.

Apparently Vero is open until 2am on the weekend. Might have to take a trip there stupidly late just for the sake of doing so.

56. Go to at least one movie a month during 2009.

• January: Quantum of Solace.

This was down to the wire - I basically went to see this on January 31st just so I wouldn't screw this goal up. It was decent Bond.

63. Start my Skull Island Heroes game.

I've got the first few scenarios scripted in my mind. Now to see if the plans survive contact with the players.

69. Move all my old website posts to LJ.

Did about three months worth.

75. Replace the Comfy Couch with a new Comfy Couch.

Well the Comfy Couch has a new home. Buying a replacement will have to wait until space has been made for it.

78. Buy a new Netbook to replace Cutieee.

It's been bought, and shipped. Purolator says it'll arrive tomorrow.

Estrella is a lot of fun. I won't make it this year due to the single-dom but have an extra fun time for me!

Oh, I enjoyed Cora's immensely. I'd be happy to go back, just not on a weekend.
