The famous Comfy Couch is being put out to pasture. Before I take it to a land fill or give it a Viking funeral, I figured I'd check with people to see if they're interested in using it.

Obviously, since I'm contemplating throwing it away, it's not in the best condition. It's threadbare in places and cat-shredded in others. It would require at least partial reupholstering as well as some minor repairs to the frame. It is still comfy, as it's name implies.

I'm only posting this because the couch has served me well for over ten years so I'm getting all sentimental. If it goes to a good home I'll be quiet happy. Realistically I doubt that's going to happen.

NeighbourLink are a charity that take furniture & give it to people who can't afford any. I don't know if they have any standards of repair but I was planning on calling them when I finally get rid of my couch & chairs :)

The lady who came in to tell us about it during United Way week was Sara Barbosa, 403-538-7389, sbarbosa.nbl@storehouse39.ca

I wonder if Continuing Education would be interested in it for their Upholstery Course, presuming they still offer it.....
