700 Billion Dollars. Is that more or less then a hojillion?

What amazes me is not that they picked a number "because it sounds about right", or that they have no concrete plan, or that they want no oversight whatsoever. It's that people are actually considering this.

It sounds like a last desperate attempt by kleptocrats to plunder the public good before they get kicked out of office. Of course, that's assuming they do get kicked out of office.

I meant the statement in the counting way, not in the distribution of funds way. Like saying that there are about sixteen stars in the Milky Way for every person alive today. However, your correction makes sense as well.

Which matches the current Republican plan. Bush was bad, and they are making sure that their country is good and f**ked up for when the Democrats get into power. Why am I so sure of this? The Republican ticket is a joke and has absolutely no chance of getting in.

They are setting up the Democrat government with so many problems that they will look inept trying to fix them all. The fallout will happen on the democrat time.

Enter 2012, everyone will have forgotten Bush and will have remembers the democrats fumbling with the mess that the republicans left for them. I couldn't have planned it better if I had been a DM/GM. =)
