Thanks for all the kind words. Reading them I realized two things:
  1. I know some pretty decent folks.
  2. I really didn't explain myself too clearly.
Rather then go into a big steaming pile of detail, I'll just say that it was supremely upsetting to be relegated to the sidekick roll.

My "Jeff" status in the group might not be ideal, but it sure beats being "Oliver". Getting pushed into being Oliver on Monday was a surprise and not a pleasant one. It took a fragile mental state and hammered it into a bull-goose-looney depression that I'm only now digging out of.

As you can see, I've returned - and much sooner then anticipated. I thought the episode would last much longer then it did. Removing myself from the net was preferable to subjecting all of you to even more of my emo drama, so I opted to leave.

In other news, I'm a yogurt-head. Specifically, a yogurt-head that had a retard-sandwich last week when ordering tickets for Beauty and the Beast. The tickets I bought for [livejournal.com profile] hislittlekitty, [livejournal.com profile] othelianna and myself for the last Wednesday of this month turned out to be for the last Wednesday of next month. D'oh!

The good news is the ladies weren't upset and we wandered over to the Auburn Saloon for some appys and gossiping.

The food was good and the gossip was better - I learned some wonderfully delicious dirt that made my evil mind cheer with gleeful abandon and made my noble heart say "tsk tsk tsk". As the dirt addressed some of the reasons behind my recent episode it also improved my general mood to the point where I can safely show my (virtual) face again.

Tomorrow is SCA tavern, Friday is archery, Saturday is [livejournal.com profile] devoidofthought's party and Sunday I fly to Cuba. Provided I don't get any more shocks to the psyche, everything should be going up.

And hey, I have Beauty and the Beast to look forward to in four weeks!
