Why I run

I got Bronchitis, which altered into Strep throat and pneumonia while I was in Victoria. The remnants are still kicking around in my lungs, apparently, which is why I run, to make sure I don't let things settle too much.

My last outbreak was after varnishing a tabletop in a poorly ventilated area while I lived in Bridgeland, way back when.

Good luck, and I suggest plenty of hot, lemony waterr with honey. Keeps the goo manageable.

Not to worry, I've heard way too many stories of unwanted tongue during cloven fruit exchanges to ever go there with someone I only know casually.

As for my moves, I'm sure you're just imagining things. No doubt you had too much Heineken. ;)

An old boss/prof of mine had what he calls the "two hats" method of dealing with the flu.

1) Put your hat on the post at the foot of the bed.
2) Get into bed.
3) Drink whiskey until you see two hats.

I'd substitute "rum" for "whiskey" though.

Y'know - since you mention it - so many folks make the cloven fruit thing nasty and cross polite interaction lines that I most time flat out refuse to accept them. Pity cause it can be sweet and kind of cute but too many guys see it as a chance to catch you with your guard down and glom. A kiss on the hand or the cheek is sweet but I've had too many guys pretend to go for my cheek and then try to plant one. With me? that gets you five in the eye.

I have to agree... you end up refusing it on principle... I can't think of many I'd want to lock lips with in the SCA & I like to keep that choice as mine.
