At least it was for a good cause. We raised $720 for brain tumour support/research. It was also a great day for a run. Hotter then I usually like it, but not so hot that I couldn't run.

No, the only real problem was that the race was poorly organized. It was scheduled to start at 10 and we kinda/sorta started around 10:15. There was no one announcing where or when to start (and all it would have taken was one person with a speaker and amp pointing at the ground and counting down from ten). The race also overlapped with a bike race using the same paths at the same time in different directions! Finally, the turn around point was not marked as such (I thought it was just a water station) - Because of this I ended up running a little more then 6K on my 5K race. Ugh.

Still, the running was good, as was the company.

Of course, the fucking up wasn't restricted to the race organizers - I too was somewhat yogurt-headed recently. Bought tickets to P3: Dead Man's Chest for tonight - right when [livejournal.com profile] sagaciouslu was going to be making a supper for me and [livejournal.com profile] conejita_diabla. Luckily I was able to take a rain cheque. If I had to choose, it would have been skip the movie, eat the dinner.

Thank you. Thank you especially for going that extra kilometre for the cause!
