Date: 2007-05-30 12:02 am (UTC)The current user picture section is a horizontal section of a fiber hemp hypocotyl with developed Bast tissue (the shiney blue cells at the very edge); the logitudinal section the layer that contains the shiney blue cells and only the shiney blue cells (the darker blue layers on either side have been removed). The greyer section in the logitudinal picture are spots where there are less layers of fiber cells (like down near the bottom of the horizonal section).
The magnification of the current picture is 20X.
