Estrella/Vegas '09 - Epilogue

"Did you enjoy your trip to Estrella", they all asked?

It was 50% fun, 25% meh and 25% awful. Better planing and experience will eliminate the 25% meh and 25% awful.

So what would I have done differently?

• I'd have bought those chairs straight away.
  
• I'd have packed a better tent.
  
• And better bedding.
  
• And long underwear.
  
• I wouldn't have crashed my car.
  
• Or had any of the other crap happen to me.
  
• I might caravan down with the others.
  
• I'd have gambled more.
  
• And I'd have gambled less.
  
• I'd have caught a big damn show.
  
• And spent an extra day in Vegas.
  
• And one less day at Estrella.
  
• I'd have stuck around long enough to compete in the archery championship.
  
• And maybe fought in the war.
  
• And sucked less at the Quick and the Dead.
  
• And maybe, just maybe, chatted with pretty girls more.

Lots of room for improvement.

The trip didn't go exactly like I planned or wished. But it was just good enough to make me want to try again.
