Last night a pop can froze in the bar fridge and leaked all over the place. I threw it into the laundry room sink. This morning I did a load of laundry.

Today I had to go to the Barony's storage locker to pay a bill (and all things considered, I should really have just paid over the phone). On the way back I kept thinking "don't get into an accident - you'll miss your flight". Right up until I got near my house, then complacency hit.

Naturally that's when the car spun out and I hit a chain link fence. Tore the front bumper to shit but the car's still drivable.

The one bright note? The cops witnessed this and came to help. I got the collision report taken care of right then and there - no waiting. Given what the driving conditions are like in Calgary right now, that's damn near miraculous.

I drive the car home, with enough time to write this post before heading out.

Adding insult to injury: The washing machine drains into the sink and that can of pop was exactly the right size to plug the sink's drain. The floor was all damp.

Time to go to the airport. Hopefully the trains are working and the plane doesn't crash.

---Addendum---

Went ass-over-teakettle walking to the train station.

Opened my wallet to get a bus ticket and all the loose papery bits fell out. Managed to recover everything except my SCA fight authorization form, which blew off the overpass down to the freeway below.

Went to Weight Watchers to get weighed and I gained a pound.

And now I'm eating at Harvey's because that's my only option in this wing of the airport. Did I mention that Harvey's is my least favorite fast food joint.

Now it's looking like they're restricting travel in and off the Estrella site due to the roads being a sloppy mess. I might have to pay $80 for a cab just to get there.

I need a stiff drink and a blowjob. Sadly I'm flying coach.

(On the bright side, E redid my fight card, scanned it and I got it printed at the airport, so at least that's not going to burn me, unless my luck holds and I lose an eye during the war)
