I was sure I had gained weight this week. So much so that I didn't wear my "weigh in" clothing (cotton pants, lightest t-shirt, socks and underwear). I managed to lose "0.2" pounds. Not great, but I'll take it.
I also ran around the Edgemont loop again - first run in a week. It took 55 minutes.
I have an unfortunate bad habit of giving up in short bursts. Fail the meal and I start to think "well there goes the day". Fail the day and I think "well there goes the week". For want of a nail, I gain weight again instead of simply picking myself up and moving on.
This is exactly what I needed. A small success (even if it wasn't really deserved) is just the thing to make me reboot my attitude and redouble my efforts.
My plan for tomorrow? Avoid high calorie foods during the day so that I can manage a steak for dinner. It's
Steak and BJ day tomorrow. The BJ seems unlikely, but I can treat myself to a steak at least.
Afterwards, some archery goodness, possibly followed by some gaming.
The weekend? Another attempt at Banff.
