Ran 10K today. Went up the Dalhousie ravine (which has a bike path and is not so nearly ravine-like as the name implies) into Edgemont. Ran down to 53rd, then along the NW edge of West Dalhousie. Got jumped by a curious, but not actually dangerous dog. Told the owner to learn to control it because how was I to know it wasn't going to chew off my testicles. Snuck about 100m into Ranchlands because I could. Ran south along Sarcee, on a 45 degree slope (so my left foot was always higher then my right foot - ugh) and tripping into the bush. Immediately got up and continued to Varsity Estates Place, which cuts through the golf course. Ran counterclockwise around Varsity Estates Drive to 53rd again, then joined back up with the ravine. Ran north along the ravine to Dalhousie drive, then east on the drive to Dalton Drive, where my run ended at the lights.
Whew.
The some woman almost hit me with her car as I crossed the street because she didn't think she had to stop for a red light before turning right. I flipped her the bird and she rolled down her window to give me a nice, passive-aggressively hostile "have a nice day". If the sun is in your eyes is not an excuse to almost hit people bitch. It means you have to be
more careful.
Despite an attack of DOGma and CARma, I feel it's going to be a frabjous day. One that includes being productive at work, having a good weight-in at WW and ending off with jambalaya and a movie with at least two gorgeous ladies.
( A map of my journey, if you care... )
